2014 Holiday Season

Hello,

“ 2014 HOLIDAY GREATINGS”

Thanksgiving is behind us, Christmas and New Year of 2015 is closing in quickly.

It seem like every professional Sports team is active on TV right now except baseball.

Throw in Jr. League Hockey, College Football, Hunting/Fishing Shows, Christmas Special Programs, and let’s not forget the Yule Log fireplace video. It would be quite easy to become couch potatoes.

Cathy & I are fighting this urge. As most of you know after our very busy season we bail out of Tahsis and visit with family. With 6 children, 10 Grandchildren and most recently 2 Great Grandchildren between us there is LOTS of visiting to do.

After much travel we have landed recently in Baja Mexico with the dogs. We will spend the Harsh, Wet, Windy, & Cold Canadian Winter here, in a tiny little FISHING VILLAGE were the CATCHING/FISHING IS OVER THE TOP GOOD!!Does that sound familiar???

The difference is we get to FISH/CATCH here!!! Dorado, Sierra, Wahoo and Rooster Fish are catch daily within sight of shore here. With a little more effort Marlin & Tuna can be caught also. During our season in Tahsis we fish vicariously through you. Now it’s our turn.

You may not know it but, Cathy is quite a Good & Enthusiastic Fisher. She’s also pretty Good at cribbage.

So there you have it- where we are- what we been up to since we closed up the Marina & Lodge in October and what we are doing.

We will return in March to reopen for the PRAWNING season, Winter Springs/Black Mouth- Salmon Fishing and spring inshore Halibut Fishery.

At the open we will have Fuel (gas & diesel), Tackle, Bait, Ice, Rental Fishing Boats, Moorage and Lodging.

FISHING REPORT:

Over the winter we will be attending Fishery meeting via teleconferencing we will keep you posted on the FISHING outlook for the up-coming season.

At this point in time it looks like 2015 Fishing/Catching season will be as strong for Salmon, Halibut and Ling Cod as it was during the 2014 season- Which was GREAT!!!
