Winterization and Boat Storage

Winterizing your boat is very important to keeping it running safe and soundly for years, it prevents gunk from building up in your engine causing it to seize or not run as well as it could.

Properly storing your boat also prevents the growth of hazardous mold and mildew on the interior surface of your boat. Shrink wrapping your boat has the wonderful benefits of keeping your boat dry and in the same clean condition as it was when it was wrapped, throughout the entire length or being stored.

We here at Westview Marina offer a great service; our trained and skilled marine mechanics can not only properly winterize your engines but can also shrink-wrap and store your boat, complete with an air dryer and power for the winter, in our safe parking lot. We will also have it ready and in the water for you with a weeks’ notice of your arrival upon your return the following season.

John/Cathy, WOW is all I can say. Due to personnel reasons I did not use my boat for a few years and I had you shrink wrap it four years ago. Last weekend your staff took the shrink wrap off. After all this time I could not believe that the canvas and isen glass was as clean and clear as it was when you covered it. If anybody does not believe in shrink wrapping their boat for protection over the winter, they are wrong.
